          After we reach the top of this never ending road you’ll get to the viewpoint, you can capture theview of Chiang Mai before going for lunch at Doi Pui. A Hmong Tribal Village is located on Doi Suthep, a 1676 meter high mountain that is the focal point of Doi Suthep and Doi Pui National Park. The village is about 4 kilometers away from Wat Phrathat Doi Suthep. The villagers wear traditional Hmong clothes, sell traditional Hmong handicrafts, and live in traditional Hmong-style homes. Then proceed to a seasonal getaway for Thailand's royal family, Phuping Palace atop the mountain. The woodsy "palace", built in 1962, is for the most part open to tourists, except in January and February, when it's reserved for Their Majesties the King and Queen. The palace is sitting 4,300 feet above sea level, is also used as the headquarters for royal agricultural projects among the northern Thai and hilltribe villages, so it's not surprisingly bedecked with beautiful gardens of temperate flowers.
          About 4 kms from Phuping Palace you’ll get to light some incense at the famous Wat Phrathat Doi Suthep in the mountain mists. To reach the Temple of Doi Suthep, climb the stairs for the best experience. There is a kind of rail-elevator for those who is not comfortable of climbing the stairs. There are about 300 steps to climb. The reward is more than worth the effort. You will see a beautiful Buddhist Temple and you will experience a beautiful view. While climbing the stairs, you should pay attention to the giant dragons on the sides of the stairs. Capture the view of the Chiang Mai city and take some photos before we leave and come back to Chiang Mai.
